Assessment Part 1
|
|
Most safety course modules contain one page of safety material
followed by one page of assessment. The assessment are mostly
multiple choice exams ranging from 1 to 3 questions.
In order to complete a module, each OASIS user must achieve 100%
accuracy on each exam. If an exam is failed, the user is
automatically redirected back to the material page.
Where a user fails an exam twice or more, OASIS records these
failures which are automatically emailed to the OASIS Administrator.
The Administrator can then personally recover the module content
with the OASIS user in person to ensure they understand the material.

|
Assessment Part 2
|
|
A lot of time has gone into the preparation of the exam questions.
They are not straight forward regurgitations of the safety material.
In most cases, the OASIS user must apply the knowledge presented in
the material to correctly answer the question.
Some of the questions are not easy and are designed to ensure that
the safety material has been read and understood.
Each time the questions are displayed, the order in which the
answers appear is different.

OASIS Administration
|
|
The ability to manage OASIS is handled through a series of web pages
that can only be accessed by the OASIS administrator. OASIS does not
only manage online safety training courses, it is used to manage
any training that is undertaken by Airtrain employees.
The administration facility allows the OASIS administrator to:
- create OASIS users, assign courses, reissue passwords, enter
offline training completions
- create groups which are linked to a series of courses
- create new offline training courses and expiration lengths
- generate ad-hoc reports on completed training, outstanding
training, upcoming training and failed modules
- determine which users require particular end-of-month reports
and the format they are to be received in

|
Course Assignment
|
|
When the Administrator creates a new OASIS user, they are responsible
for nominating the training courses they are required to take (both
online through OASIS and offline).
At this time, the administrator can also enter the date that any
training had been previously completed. This is important because
when any training is about to expire, or a refresher is required,
(online or offline) OASIS will automatically generate reminder emails
and include such information in the end-of-month reports.
|
|
|
|
Ad-hoc Reports
|
Another component of the OASIS admin tool is the ability to generate
reports to answer any question regarding:
- Which training courses were completed in a date range
- Which training courses are yet to be undertaken or overdue as of
the current date
- What is the future scheduling of training for an employee
- What modules in the online OASIS courses were failed more than twice in a date range
As well as the ability to produce these reports at any time, these
same reports can be automatically emailed to anyone at the end of
the month.
