September 2001: Developed a recycle bin management database
application accessed through a web browser for Sutherland Shire
Council. Previously, Sutherland did not have any way of tracking
recycle bins as each bin has its own serial number as ID. This
application allows them to record events such as when they have to
issue a new bin and why.
The application itself is HTML based, allowing the user to find a
property by a variety of methods such as searching for owner names,
addresses and plan numbers. After a property is found all the
recycle bins belonging to that property are displayed. The user can
then add new bins, or edit existing details.

July 2001: Woodward IT was involved in developing a specific
Customer Service Query as part of their GISWeb mapping intranet
application. The report provided for more flexibility including
listing the Acid Sulfate Soil of the property, any Development
Control Plans and codes, and Instrument zoning details. The report
was developed to replace an old property report that was originally
produced by their corporate rates system.

|
April 2001: WIT was responsible in loading and developing a
query and plot tool for four years worth of crash data for
Sutherland Shire Council. The tool was integrated into Council's
existing MapPlus3 application. The tool allows the user to query a
crash as well as thematically plotting crashes according to severity
of crash, surface conditions, weather conditions, natural light and
more.

|
March 2001: WIT developed a cleansing data capture tool for
Sutherland Shire Council. This tool allows users to identify
locations of cleansing sites, such as public bins and dumped
household rubish, and to enter details about those sites into Oracle.
|
|
February 2001: WIT completed a project for Open Space
acquisition. The project involved finding parcels designated as open
space and to plot approved development applications. This allow
users to query contribution areas to determine the amount of funds
that were collected for the acquisition of open space and where
spatially the development was taking place.

December 2000: WIT prototyped and developed an
Intranet GIS Application
for Sutherland Shire Council. The browser application
allows access to GIS data, Sydways data and Citipac data stored in
Oracle for all PCs. Functionality includes:
- Standard navigation and layer management for zooming in and
out, to scale and selecting layers to be displayed
- HTML report generation on property queries and adjoining owner
queries as well as CSV file generation and download
- Searching of maps to highlight roads, properties, owners and
addresses
- Creation of DXF or shape files for direct download
- Postscript output at optional scales containing aerial
photography and Sydways images

|
November 2000: WIT formed a relationship with Omnicad whilst
being subcontracted to complete some outstanding projects Sutherland
Shire Council. One project involved the registering and display of
Sydways images and the second was a traffic asset data capture
function added to the customers existing enquiry application.
